Perfect aromatic for newbies
I did try the Val Cream Swirl today, despite my intent to let both blends ‘rest’ in jars for or least a month or two. Oh well… I also have discovered in my newbie pipe journey that I get a better ‘read’ with a blend by making sure to give it try for at least three consecutive smokes/bowls, be it back to back days or every other day. So this is just my first impression which may modify over the next few bowls. Pipe used: MMC Orion with a Style A Forever Stem Tin (jar) note: sweet, very definite marshmallow creme tone, or something very similar. Possibly a very faint vanilla component to the sweet cream note, but not definite. Room note: - tough since I was outside with a slight breeze. What I could detect seemed slightly sweet tinted by coffee or coco? Pleasant I think, certainly is not going to repel non-smokers. Flavor: mildly sweet - with a cream like tone and maybe similar mouth feel, need some more bowls to tell. I noticed occasional very slight hints of coco. Mild describes everything about this smoke. It lighted easily and was no issue to maintain, I could not even by accident get it to bite. I was working on the sprinkler system, not paying attention to the pipe, and found the bowl getting noticeably hot to the touch but not too hot to hold - still not a hint of bite. The smoke never got hot or unpleasant. The Orion has a relatively small bowl, so this was done in about 40 minutes, only required one relight. I did not notice a big shift in taste or room note through first bowl. This could easily be an all day smoke. A good aromatic that should appeal to experienced pipers as well as perfect for newbies. If I was going to wish for anything different, it would be also have a variation of this that had a stronger vanilla component. Think along the lines of this being a coke, the variant being a vanilla coke like you used to be able to get at the picture show 50-60 years ago. I’ll be cycling this through my other cobs, a Raven, maybe my Charles Towne Cooper, and a Country Gentleman for my follow-up bowls,

Great blend
This blend your own tobacco is some of the best flavors ive had. It is a combination of a vanilla cappuccino and chocolate biscotti. It lights and stays lit so easily making it smoke smooth. I absolutely love this blend and highly recommend it. Its fun to make and easily mixed with everything you need. Including the bag to mix it in!!! This blent is sweet making it a good after dinner smoke or even an all day. It smokes easily. I highly recommend for beginners and novice alike.... just try not to smoke it all in one go!!!!
